Belgaum Sugars Pvt. Ltd.

The plant of Belgaum Sugars Pvt. Ltd., a 100% subsidiary of Satish Sugars Ltd., has been set up at Hudali village, Belagavi district. Spread over 50 acres, it is located at a distance of 20 km from Belagavi. The factory consists of a sugar unit and a cogeneration unit. While the sugar unit has a processing capacity of 3500 TCD, the cogeneration unit has a production capacity of 14 MW.

The ground breaking ceremony of the unit was done on November 20, 2015 and construction and erection works of the factory were flagged off. The management carries out all works such as selection of vendors, commissioning of works and agreements with utmost transparency. The plant, which commenced operations on November 2, 2016, crossed more than 100% capacity within five days of operations by crushing 4158 MT of sugarcane on November 6, 2016. It is for the first time in the country a project of this scale has been commissioned within 11 months.

Cogeneration Unit

The cogeneration unit will produce 14 MW of power by reusing sugarcane waste. The electricity produced here will be sold to HESCOM through a long term PPA and will be made available to rural areas.
